Christmas baking

 Today my mom and I were working on Christmas baking. I have a dear friend over for the next 2 days and I was very glad for her help today. We blocked some Christmas presents today and then helped mom with the baking. We made  another batch of sugar cookies so including the ones mom and I made monday we now have 3 batches of sugar cookies. That was alot of cookies to frost!! But they were finally done and here are some pictures of them for you to see. :)

I am hoping to watch some Pride and Prejudice tonight. The BBC version of course. ;)

Hopefully after  Christmas I will be able to put of pictures of all the presents I gave away.

Welcome to my blog! I hope you enjoy your visit!

It is cold and snowing outside today the perfect day to sit inside and knit!

Yesterday was my birthday and I had a couple friends over and one of my friends was the gal who taught me how to knit and spin! We had a very nice visit and she taught me how to cable while she was here. I can't show you any pictures of my first cabled project yet as it is going to be a Christmas present.

I have been knitting like crazy to try and get all the things I had planned as Christmas presents done. I had someone ask me to make them ten Christmas dish clothes. I loved how they turned out. After Christmas I will have to try and get some pictures posted of all the gifts and things that I made.

Here is a picture of the Christmas dish cloths! Aren't they pretty??

The one on the right is made from cream and sugars mistletoe yarn. I love how the colors turned out! 

These ones I had to switch colors very 8 rows. There was a lot of tails to weave in but I love how it turned out. 

Here are 2 of the patterns I did. The other patterns I used was a checkered stripe.

And here is the spindle I received for my birthday from a dear friend. 

I also got this beautiful yarn with the spindle. Isn't it lovely its called violet dawn.  

It is Merino Wool and it is hand spun and hand painted. 

And I received this marvelous hat also. It has hand spun angora in it! 

And this is the marvelous cake my mom baked me! It is dark chocolate mocha cake with dark chocolate mocha frosting!
